A Short Biography

Patricia has always been fascinated by the discovery of her own soul and she has spent a lifetime passing on her learning to the countless students she has encountered over the years.

Patricia’s career as counselor, mentor and soul friend began when she was a young girl growing up in a small Wisconsin town. Beginning when she was around 9 years old, her friends and neighbors would come by her house and often offer her a nickel (which was a lot of money at that time) for her advice and counsel. So we could say that she’s come by her gifts naturally, almost innately.

Given her passion for how people connect, Patricia was led to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. She then decided to go deeper into the study of human motivation by completing her Masters’ in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

While Patricia was working on her Masters’ program she had an amazing mentor, Blair Matthews. Whenever Patricia would communicate to Blair that a part of the Masters’ program felt dead or uninspired, her mentor would encourage her to teach about what she wanted to learn. For example, when Patricia mentioned that she thought putting dance and psychotherapy together would be exciting – Blair encouraged her to teach a class combining the two disciplines. When she wanted to learn more about psychodrama, not intellectually but experientially, again, her mentor suggested she co-teach a class on the topic. Patricia ran with these suggestions, making her education an exciting experience of following her passion, taking risks, and learning that teaching is a wonderful way to learn.

That early education provided the foundation for Patricia’s vocation as a seminar leader. She chooses a topic that touches her soul and then teaches a weekend seminar on that subject of inspiration. Students come from all over the world to participate in her heartfelt seminars.

After graduation from college Patricia entered a human potential training organization called Cornucopia where she spent the next three years studying and teaching the “Methods” as described in Ken Keyes’ book, The Handbook to Higher Consciousness. Patricia played a dual role at Cornucopia as both National Marketing Director and Trainer. Patricia was drawn to Cornucopia because the opportunity to live and work in a spiritual community added a richness to her life that had been missing. The daily focused practice using the consciousness growth methods offered in the community set the foundation for actualizing soul integration and human potential for the rest of her life. Patricia made the decision, while at Cornucopia, that she would not leave until she could tell her “emotional truth in the moment” to anyone she met. She met this goal and continues to be a “truth teller” to this day.

Following her years at Cornucopia, Patricia moved to Seattle, Washington where she opened her first private practice in counseling. As her practice expanded she opened the “One Year Personal Mastery Training.” She also designed and taught a program for local hospitals called “A Place for Giver’s to Receive.” Patricia was a keynote speaker for a variety of organizations including IBM and Nordstrom’s. It was also in Seattle that Patricia met and fell in love with her husband and partner, David Pease.

The next part of her journey was to move with David to Denver, Colorado. Again, Patricia opened a private practice for individuals and couples. The training she designed and led for 10 years in Denver was called Leading From the Heart. Patricia received training as a non-denominational, new thought minister during her Denver tenure.

The most recent leg of Patricia and David's journey was to move to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where Patricia offers her wisdom as a soul and depth coach and "business catalyst.” Patricia's current practice includes writing, counseling, coaching, mentoring, ministry, and workshop facilitation.

While living in Santa Fe, both Patricia and David have received state-of-the-art coaching training from some of today’s top coaching schools. David is the business manager for Patricia's growing enterprise. He masterfully supports Patricia both inside and outside the seminar room. They are an awesome team.

It is Patricia’s intention to be a hollow flute for Truth and Tenderness. In other words, to allow Truth and Tenderness to whisper in her ear and for her to whisper, accordingly, in the student's ear. Patricia’s realizes she can work with only a limited number of people through her private practice. Therefore, her new emphasis is to touch and inspire soul seekers through workshops and writing.

Patricia is very excited to have published her first book, Becoming a Love Dog: From Emptiness to Tenderness. In this book, Patricia offers support to live your life more fully, tenderly, honestly, skillfully, passionately, and authentically.  She shares how you can ease your heartache by learning to cope with life with a growing emotional maturity. Topics include: moving from weight depression and anxiety to loving your body and self-esteem; managing difficult emotions such as grief and loneliness; and shifting core emotional patterns such as separation anxiety.

Whether Patricia is writing a soul note, working with a private client or facilitating seminars, her true purpose is to “reveal the presence of grace.”

Name:

“Patricia has partnered with me for more than five years in navigating the many challenges and transitions in my work and personal life.

Her many gifts include her intuitive ability to connect with the spirit who I am, to illuminate my strengths, acknowledge, without judgment, my limitations, and to gently guide me on the path of my truest Self.

I think much of her healing ability comes from her connection to Spirit, as well as her openness of heart to her own deepest pain and joy.

Patricia is the best of what I value in a mentor, coach, and friend. She is one of the greatest treasures in my life.”
